Triconex 4210 Safety System Remote Expansion Module

• Purpose: It is a Remote Expansion Module (RXM), used to realize communication and data transmission between the main system and remote sites, thereby expanding the control range and functions of the system.
• Optical Fiber Type: It uses single-mode optical fiber. Compared with multi-mode optical fiber, single-mode optical fiber has the advantages of long transmission distance and low signal attenuation, which can better meet the needs of remote communication.
• Configuration: It is usually provided in a set of 3 modules, namely 4210-3, to provide redundancy and reliability guarantee for the system.

• Cable Length Limit: The supported cable length can reach 7.5 miles (12 kilometers), which allows remote sites to be far away from the main system, facilitating system deployment in large industrial facilities or complex geographical environments.

• Diagnostic Indicators: It is equipped with diagnostic indicators such as PASS, FAIL, ACTIVE, TX, RX1, RX2, and RX3. Through these indicators, users can quickly understand the working status, communication situation, and whether there is a fault of the module, which is convenient for maintenance and troubleshooting.
