Functional Roles
- Network Connection: As a FIP Bus Controller (FBC), it enables the IC697 PLC to connect to 1mbit FIP or World FIP fieldbus networks, realizing data communication and interaction between the PLC and other devices.
- Device Scanning: It can scan FIP I/O from IC693 FIP remote I/O scanners, FIP IC670 modules, and general FIP devices to obtain relevant input and output data.
- Data Transmission and Control: During the scanning process, it can independently search for connected remote devices, broadcast the output data of the PLC to the connected devices, receive diagnostic messages from field devices, and also allow field devices to transmit time-related messages, thereby realizing the monitoring and control of the entire system.
