Status indication and easy operation: Each monitor occupies one of the 14 available slots in the rack and is microprocessor-based, providing digitally adjustable alarms and hazard setpoints for each channel, with alarms configurable for locked or non-locked operation. Front panel leds provide status indications for each monitor, allowing easy operation without operator interaction.
Industrial system connectivity: Most monitors provide a separate 4-20mA proportional output for each channel of the I/O module to connect the relevant industrial systems. Where applicable, the I/O module provides the appropriate power supply to the sensors via short-circuit protection terminals, and normal inspection procedures within each monitor continuously check the integrity of each sensor and the associated field wiring.
