• Intrinsically Safe Certification: Certified for Intrinsic Safety (IS) in hazardous areas, ensuring safety when used in dangerous environments.
• Fail-Safe Design: Adopts a fail-safe design. When the module malfunctions, it will always generate a safe state to avoid dangerous situations caused by module failures.
• Powerful Diagnostic Functions: Equipped with rich diagnostic functions, it can monitor its own operating status in real-time and detect faults such as circuit “stuck-open”. A diagnostic failure on any channel will activate the module fault indicator, which in turn activates the chassis alarm signal.
• Triple Processing Mechanism: As a TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) digital input module, it has three independent input channels, each with a microprocessor that can process input data independently. The input data is voted on the main processor to ensure data integrity and the highest level of safety.
• Signal Conditioning and Isolation: Each channel can independently condition signals and provide optical isolation between the field and Tricon, enhancing the anti-interference ability and stability of the system.
• Hot Standby Support: Supports hot standby function, requiring a separate External Terminal Panel (ETP) with a cable interface connected to the Tricon backplane, improving system availability and reliability.
• Mechanical Key Design: The module is equipped with a mechanical key to prevent improper installation in the configured chassis, ensuring the correctness and stability of module installation.
